Eighty-six year old Jo Laan from the village Beemster has a fascination for donkeys. His four animals sleep in a shed in his garden. During the day however, they are sharing the house with him. Jaap, the largest of the four donkeys, is able to open the backdoor with its snout. At any given moment he can enter the house. The rest of the animals will usually quickly follow.
